My journey to midwifery began several years ago after completing my health sciences degree at
Simon Fraser University. I discovered my passion for reproductive health and justice and made
the decision to pursue midwifery with the goal of serving pregnant people in Surrey, where I
was born and raised. I graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Midwifery degree and have
been working at Surrey Mama Midwifery ever since.
My values strongly align with the midwifery model of care. I believe in evidence-based
recommendations and a person’s right to make informed choices. I respect each family’s unique
background and am passionate about providing culturally appropriate midwifery care. I enjoy
connecting with the families I meet and I look forward to providing supportive and holistic
midwifery care through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
When I’m not practicing midwifery, you can find me spending time with my husband, my
daughter, and our two dogs. We love going for walks, watching movies, and spending time with
family.
